Embedding content design practices in your organisation workshop

This 1-day workshop is aimed at organisations where stakeholders, governance, and larger teams all play a role in whether or not your content gets published. If you are the sole owner of your content and have no one else to report to (for example, a creative artist running your own website), this workshop may not be as useful to you.

Content lifecycle

In the morning session, you will:

  • understand the lifecycle of a piece of content
  • learn ways to structure your team to deliver content from end-to-end
  • prioritise effectively, little, and often, to meet user needs and business objectives
  • develop feedback mechanisms to build data and create an evidence-based approach
  • build your team structure and work cadence to include dedicated time for research, testing, and a user-centred design culture
  • understand how to scale your deliverables when things change

Governance workflows

In the afternoon session, you will:

  • map out your current content creation and sign-off process
  • identify where delays, redrafts, content duplication, and conflict occur
  • identify ownership and accountability for each sign-off, at each stage of the process
  • clarify if, when, and how gen-AI tools are used in your processes, and who is responsible for their inputs and outputs
  • define what success looks like
  • create a prioritised action plan to adapt to your new ways of working

What you’ll get

After the workshop, you will have:

  • an accurate end-to-end process explaining how your content is created today, highlighting risks, opportunities, and best practice
  • a custom action plan to implement improved ways of working
  • prioritised recommendations to be more efficient and reduce costs
  • a structured, repeatable, consistent approach to tackling content
  • clarity about how to proceed as a team, together

Cost

£350 for up to 15 attendees.

This includes an hour follow-up call, usually held two weeks after the workshop.

Support after the workshop

Governance is hard. Organisations, objectives, and product roadmaps change. We offer ongoing support after your workshop to make changes to your plan, processes, and structure.

Every workshop comes with a follow-up call for up to an hour. Use this to reflect, ask follow-up questions, or talk through any initial challenges you’ve found.

After that, there are several options for more support, depending on your needs.

Monthly check-in

Check-ins review progress, monitor success, discuss issues, and potential solutions as you progress through your change.

These work best in one or two-hour slots, and cost £50 per hour. A two-hour check-in works best when split into two elements. The first element is the standard check-in. The second element can be more of a collaborative workshop, focused on your specific needs.

Weekly check-in

If you’d prefer a more regular cadence, weekly check-ins are available. If your organisation is large, has difficulty delivering change, or you need to adapt quickly, then weekly check-ins are best. They keep the momentum going and will identify problems and considerations early.

Custom support

There are options to embed Content Design Matters more deeply into your team or organisation to support your change and relaunch of your content design practices. We can discuss this in more detail when you contact us.
